Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd. in Auckland is seeking a Plant Operator to support the day-to-day operation of our asphalt plant. You will start up and shut down the plant, monitor temperatures and mix settings, and assist with blending aggregates, bitumen and additives to meet production and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 licence required; Class 2 preferred.
• WTR endorsement preferred.
• Experience with civil asphalt, bitumen or aggregate operations.
• First Aid certificate preferred.
• Safety-focused, reliable hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt plant and loader safely, efficiently and to spec.
• Monitor plant performance, mix settings and product quality.
• Complete pre-starts, routine inspections, and daily production records.
• Manage raw material movements, stockpiles and plant feed for smooth production.
• Maintain site housekeeping and environmental controls; support fault identification and maintenance.
