Job summary

Bellbird Baked Goods Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a Bakers Assistant or Baker for our early-bird team at the Tannery location. This permanent full-time role features rostered 2:00am–10:00am shifts, working with a dedicated team to craft artisan breads.

No prior commercial experience is required, but passion for bread, willingness to learn, and ability to work under pressure are valued. You will cut and shape dough, bake, finish products, and help keep the production area clean.

Qualifications

• Experience in artisan bakery making similar style of products (sourdough bread, French-style viennoiserie) would be an advantage
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with others
• Safe and capable lifting skills in a busy environment
• Can work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
