Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Area Retail Sales Manager to oversee multiple Queenstown stores in a hybrid role blending field leadership with strategic planning. You will drive sales, coach store managers, and ensure brand standards across locations while optimizing inventory and operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail management, a proven track record of meeting targets, and strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in retail management, including multi-store/area responsibilities.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth across multiple locations.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent understanding of retail operations and inventory control.
• Proficiency in sales analysis and performance reporting.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to store managers and teams.
• Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures and standards.
• Monitor store performance, analyze sales data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee inventory management, visual merchandising and operational efficiency.
• Recruit, train and develop high-performing store management teams.
• Foster a customer-centric culture with exceptional service delivery across touchpoints.
• Manage operational budgets and P&L for the area and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with head office to implement national initiatives and promotions.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess performance and ensure brand consistency.
