Job summary

Asplundh Tree Experts in Auckland is seeking a qualified or experienced Arborist to join our Auckland branch and support a range of arboricultural work across the region, including pruning, removals and general tree maintenance.

You will work with your crew to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, thriving in a practical, safety-driven environment that values teamwork and hands-on outdoor work.

Qualifications

• NZQA level 3 or 4 in arboriculture
• Minimum class 1 driver's licence
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Solid arboriculture knowledge (tree identification, pruning principles, and tree health fundamentals)
• Experience using chainsaws, pole saws and wood chippers
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain, including manual handling and physical tasks
• Ability to climb and work at height using ropes and harness systems (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment MOJ check, drug and alcohol test and medical.

What you’ll bring:
