Job summary

Inovo in New Zealand is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our finance team in Auckland or Christchurch. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career, with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn and grow in finance.

You'll handle monthly invoicing in Total Synergy, manage end-to-end AR, chase overdue accounts, reconcile ledgers with Xero and Total Synergy, and support month-end close with AR reporting. NZ residency or citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Some experience in accounts receivable, finance, or administration is a plus, but a strong attitude to learn matters most.
• Willingness to learn and build a career in finance.
• NZ permanent resident or NZ citizenship status is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly invoicing cycle, partnering with Total Synergy to raise invoices on time.
• Manage end-to-end AR: invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Chase overdue accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Reconcile AR ledgers against project billing systems (Xero and Total Synergy).
• Support month-end close with accurate AR reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers to resolve billing queries and disputes.
• Identify and flag unbilled work in progress.
