Job summary

Matamata-Piako District Council is seeking an analytical Asset Data Officer to maintain and improve information underpinning infrastructure planning and investment decisions.

You will manage asset data across stormwater, transport, parks, facilities, buildings, land and waste, collaborating with asset mapping, management systems and finance to ensure accuracy and accessibility. This 12-month fixed-term role supports the council's resilient communities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with data, databases, GIS, asset management systems, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other digital systems.
• The ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience with GIS, asset management software, or local government systems would be an advantage.
