Job summary

Hato Hone St John is seeking a Manager to provide day-to-day oversight of the Christchurch Ambulance Make Ready Hub in the CBD. The role supports ambulance service delivery for the Christchurch Metro Area and Canterbury District, with a focus on operations and safety.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, with possible out-of-hours work for major events. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, coordination and stakeholder liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a shift-based operational team.
• Proven ability to coordinate fleet servicing, rotation and tracking.
• Experience coordinating logistics including purchasing, stocktake and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of shift-based operational resource staff and promote a culture of safety and compliance in the workplace.
• Coordinate fleet servicing, rotation and tracking to keep operations running smoothly.
• Coordinate logistics including purchasing, stocktake and equipment maintenance.
• Prioritise tasks and liaise with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard to maintain a safe, hygienic, and functional working environment for ambulance crews.
