Job summary

Deloitte NZ, Auckland-based Technology & Transformation, is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to help build generative AI solutions and deploy across cloud platforms. You will work with clients to shape and implement scalable, secure cloud-native architectures in Azure, AWS, or GCP.

This permanent role offers flex-working in a 37.5 hour week, ongoing learning, and opportunities to gain professional qualifications while collaborating with senior engineers and consultants to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• Experience in a consulting, professional services or technology environment in an engineering, architecture or technical consulting role.
• Proven experience delivering cloud-native solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying generative AI, agentic AI or intelligent automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy generative and agentic AI solutions from concept through to production.
• Partner with clients and Deloitte teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and optimise AI applications, workflows and integrations across cloud and enterprise platforms.
• Apply engineering best practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, security and responsible AI.
• Create and apply reusable assets, accelerators and reference architectures to scale AI delivery.
• Support proposal development, project delivery and stakeholder engagement across client engagements.
• Stay at the forefront of AI, continuously building your expertise and sharing knowledge with the wider team.

Qualifications

About You

You will bring:

• Experience in a consulting, professional services or technology environment in an engineering, architecture or technical consulting role.
• Maintaining a high level of continuous learning in the latest tools and processes available in market, particularly with regards to engineering and delivery of generative and agentic AI technologies.
• Proven experience delivering cloud-native solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands‑on experience designing and deploying generative AI, agentic AI or intelligent automation solutions.
• The ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work directly with clients.
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity for emerging technologies and a passion for continuous learning.
