AWF New Zealand is partnering with Endura Mining to source an Agi Operator for a new underground operation near Reefton. This permanent 7:7 roster role offers competitive wages, health insurance, and an accommodation allowance.

You will safely operate underground agitator trucks, work with Paste Crew and Production teams, and contribute to production targets while upholding safety standards. The role requires underground mining experience, a current manual driver licence, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience is required.
• Experience operating underground agitator trucks or similar heavy mining equipment.
• Current Manual Driver Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize operational needs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of underground traffic management and hazard identification.
• Experience conducting routine inspections and operator maintenance.
• Availability to work a 7/7 roster including day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate underground agitator trucks and associated mobile equipment.
• Transport and deliver paste fill, aggregate, shotcrete and backfill products to designated underground locations.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
• Monitor agitator performance and material quality during transport and delivery.
• Follow site traffic management plans and underground operating procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with Paste Plant Operators, Paste Crew and underground personnel.
• Identify, report and escalation equipment faults, hazards and operational issues.
• Complete routine operator maintenance and servicing requirements.
• Support paste fill, backfill, production and development activities as required.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for equipment and work areas.
• Accurately complete production records, inspections and site documentation.
• Operate equipment in a manner that maximises productivity while maintaining safe operating practices.

About the Role

As an underground Agi Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground agitator trucks and associated equipment. Working closely with the Paste Crew, Paste Plant, Production and Development teams, you will ensure materials are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous underground mining experience
• Experience operating underground agitator trucks or similar heavy mining equipment
• A current Manual Driver Licence
• Sound understanding of underground mining operations and haulage activities
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritise operational requirements
• Strong awareness of underground traffic management and hazard identification
• Experience conducting routine inspections and operator maintenance
• Availability to work a 7/7 roster including day and night shifts
