Job summary

sKids is hiring a Programme Manager in New Zealand to lead the day-to-day running of our after-school programme. You will manage a large group of children, maintain a safe, engaging environment, and coordinate activities across arts, sport, and trips.

You’ll work up to 15 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with shifts from 7:00–8:30am and 2:30–6:00pm and possible holiday programme hours. Join a supportive team that values creativity and child-centred learning.

Qualifications

• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Proven leadership experience with groups of children.
• Able to manage challenging behaviour and high-energy groups calmly.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day running of sKids programme from set-up to pack-down.
• Lead and manage a large group of children, ensure a safe, engaging environment.
• Plan and deliver structured activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, offsite trips, baking, drama, and music.
• Proactively manage challenging behaviour with positive guidance strategies.
• Build strong, professional relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff onsite.
• Lead, coach, and delegate to Programme Assistants to ensure high standards.
• Prepare in advance – organise resources and plan activities.
