Job summary

sKids is seeking an Assistant Programme Manager in New Zealand to support morning and afternoon sessions, with shifts from 7:00–8:30 am and 2:30–6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, holiday programme hours, and the opportunity to lead sessions when needed.

You will help run daily activities, supervise groups of children, and coordinate with staff, parents and school partners. A positive, proactive leader willing to step in is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Programme Manager in day-to-day running of the sKids programme and ensure smooth operations.
• Step up as 2IC and lead sessions when the Programme Manager is away.
• Supervise and engage large groups of tamariki in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.
• Assist in planning and delivering structured activities including arts, crafts, sports, games and offsite trips.
• Support with managing challenging behaviour using positive guidance strategies.
• Help guide and support Programme Assistants on shift and ensure activities run smoothly.
• Build positive relationships with parents, caregivers and school staff.
