Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking an After-School Program Coordinator to lead enrichment programs for school‑aged children. You will design, implement, and oversee a safe, engaging, and educational after‑school experience, coordinating daily activities, staff and parent communication.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience in youth programs, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to child development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in youth program coordination, childcare, or education.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop engaging program content and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices for school-aged children.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse schedule of activities for school-aged children.
• Supervise and mentor program staff, providing guidance and support.
• Manage daily program operations, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
• Liaise with parents to communicate program details, progress, and concerns.
• Maintain attendance, activities, and expenditure records.
