Job summary

Rocket Lab in New Zealand is seeking an Integrated Operations engineering intern to support the creation, deployment and maintenance of launch operations software tools. You will help operators interact with systems, view real-time data, and assist in achieving mission objectives.

The role offers hands-on space technology experience, mentorship from world-class engineers, and exposure to mission control and cutting-edge rocket systems.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a tertiary programme related to mechanical, aerospace, or mechatronics engineering.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.
• Passion for aerospace and space technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation, maintenance, deployment and support of launch operations software tools.
• Improve operator interaction with systems and real-time data, aiding mission objectives.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and document development activities.
• Contribute to HMIs development, deployment, and training of users.
• Participate in team meetings and propose innovative ideas.
