Job summary

Syos Aerospace Limited seeks an Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team in Mount Maunganui. This hands-on role handles supplier invoices, payment runs, and AP reconciliations, supporting month-end close and expense processes.

You will maintain supplier data, resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams, and strive for accuracy and timely payments in a growing aerospace business.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or transactional finance.
• Working knowledge of Xero and strong Excel skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail when coding invoices and processing payments.
• Good communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Able to prioritise and meet processing and payment deadlines. A proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Study towards an accounting qualification (NZICA/CAANZ) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and code to GL accounts, cost centres and projects.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts; resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepare and run weekly payment batches; ensure timely payments.
• Respond to supplier queries and maintain positive relationships.
• Reconcile supplier statements monthly; maintain supplier master data.
• Support month-end close and AP reporting; assist with expense claims and card reconciliations.
• Maintain AP filing, documentation and audit trails; identify process improvements.
