Job summary

Vision Systems is seeking a Senior Security Technician with an installations focus to drive on-site projects from start to finish. You will work on a wide range of integrated security systems, from cabling to commissioning, with strong coordination with builders and clients.

The role requires 5+ years in electronic security, NZ COA, and proficiency with Gallagher, ICT/Integriti/Tecom. You’ll bring excellent time management and customer relationships and hold a full NZ driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• NZ COA is required.

• Experience with Gallagher; Licence preferred.
• Experience with ICT, Integriti or Tecom.
• Solid networking knowledge (routers, VLANs, firewalls, VM environments).

Installations Based Senior Security Technician Role

We’re looking for an experienced Security Technicianto take on an installation's roleworking with advanced integrated security environments.

The Role

This isn’t entry level. And it’s not a desk job. It's not faults or service based. Its installs of all shapes and sizes.

You’ll be working on a wide range of integrated security systems, running cables, reading plans, commissioning systems, liaising with builders and clients alike.

You’ll work across technologies including Gallagher, ICT, Integriti and Tecom, alongside integrated CCTV and network infrastructure.

Your work will involve:

• Upgrades, new builds and extending integrated security systems
• Programming, commissioning and As-Builts, plus other documentation as required
• Continuous training and development on new systems and technologies
• Supporting high-level integrated security environments
• Working with network infrastructure and system integrations
• Collaborating with our technical team to deliver the best outcomes for clients

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for a highly capable technician, not someone still learning the ropes.

You’ll need to have:

• Current NZ Certificate of Approval (COA)
• 5+ years in the electronic security industry, with an installs background
• Extensive experience with Gallagher; as evidenced with a Gallagher Engineer (preferred) Licence
• Experience with ICT, Integriti or Tecom
• Solid networking knowledge (routers, VLANs, firewalls, VM environments)
• Exceptional time management and communication skills to keep projects on track
• Bring your expertise to all situations and ensure every project is executed to the highest standard
• Outstanding relationship-building skills to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence
• Most importantly, you take pride in honest, high-quality work and hard graft!
