Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) seeks an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our Hamilton-based team. You’ll handle supplier invoices, employee expenses and creditor payments while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You’ll manage reconciliations, month-end processes and payment runs, with scope to improve AP systems. SAP experience is valued, and strong communication and attention to detail are essential in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' Accounts Payable experience within a large organisation.
• Intermediate Excel capability and strong systems aptitude.
• SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet monthly deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and check all supplier invoices ensuring accounts are paid correctly and on time
• Reconcile creditor accounts, process EOM journals and perform other reconciliations as per month end timeframes
• Schedule and prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
• Assist with the oversight of our automated invoice processing application to ensure that the system is performing at an optimal level to provide the maximum automation and benefit
• Ensure all employee claim forms are checked and processed in accordance with deadlines and policy
• Liaise with MasterCard holders to ensure receipts and reports are completed within the timeframe given and uploaded for payment
• Manage the AP shared mailboxes and respond to all LIC creditor and internal business units’ queries in an efficient and timely manner
