Job summary

Fletcher Construction in Penrose, Auckland is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator on an 18-month fixed-term contract to support a busy AP function. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, resolving queries, and ensuring timely payments.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Business Administration/Accounting, at least two years in Accounts Payable, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel; JDE experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when working with financial information.
• Confident using Excel and other business systems, with JDE experience an advantage.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative approach and clear communication skills when working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage supplier invoices, credit notes, and statements accurately and on time.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor accounts payable queues and ensure outstanding items are followed up and cleared promptly.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and support payment run preparation.
• Respond to supplier and business queries, providing timely and professional service.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the way work is completed.

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team based in Penrose on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is a busy role where you'll help keep supplier payments flowing smoothly, resolve invoice queries, and support the day-to-day operation of a large accounts payable function.
