With over 30 years of experience supplying pipes and fittings throughout New Zealand, we've built our reputation on exceptional customer service, practical solutions and relationships built on trust.
We're looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our Auckland-based Wholesale Sales team, managing and growing relationships with rural merchants across the North Island. You'll work with an established customer base, identify new business opportunities and help customers access practical pipe and drainage solutions.

This is predominantly an office-based, telephone-driven sales role, with planned opportunities to visit customers throughout the year to strengthen relationships and better understand their needs.
A significant part of your day will involve proactive telephone engagement with customers. You'll be expected to make proactive customer calls, alongside responding to enquiries, following up on quotes and managing your customer relationships.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys picking up the phone, having meaningful customer conversations and turning those conversations into opportunities.
As an Account Manager, you'll:
Manage and grow relationships with an established portfolio of Rural customers across the North Island.
Proactively engage with customers through regular outbound sales calls to understand their needs, identify opportunities and grow sales.
Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with prospective customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service, providing practical solutions and advice that add value.
Take ownership of your sales performance, working towards agreed sales and activity targets.
Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, solve problems and deliver a great customer experience.
Maintain accurate customer information and follow through on enquiries, quotes and sales opportunities.
While your initial focus will be on our Rural market, opportunities may arise to support other customer segments as our business evolves.
We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, understands what great customer service looks like and has the commercial drive to grow a successful customer portfolio.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Proven experience in a sales or account management role, with a track record of growing customer relationships and delivering sales results.
Confidence and genuine enjoyment in proactive telephone-based sales, including making regular outbound calls and building customer relationships over the phone.
A self-motivated approach to managing daily sales activities, following up on opportunities and consistently working towards agreed targets.
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and developing new business.
Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
Sound commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer needs.
Confidence using technology and customer management systems.
A collaborative attitude, willingness to learn and genuine commitment to delivering on your promises.
Experience in the rural, agricultural, plumbing or drainage industries would be an advantage, but isn't essential. We're equally interested in people with strong sales capability and the willingness to learn our products and markets.
Ready to make projects possible?
If you're a relationship-focused Account Manager who enjoys proactive telephone sales, finding solutions and growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
