Job summary

Xero in Auckland is seeking an Account Executive to grow and manage relationships with accounting and bookkeeping firms in your territory, building, educating, and expanding the Xero Partner channel.

You’ll present at Xero sales events, keep your knowledge of Xero features sharp to ensure partners receive the best possible support, and help them adopt digital strategies you’ve built with them to reach their potential with Xero tools.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in SaaS sales.
• Ability to build quick and authentic rapport with partners over the phone and maintain relationships long-term.
• Comfortable using CRM tools like Salesforce to manage daily workflow.
• Self-motivated with a process-driven approach to meeting targets.

• Identify opportunities to develop business plans for larger, longer-term deals.
• Increase the percentage of certified partners through education and recertification attendance.

The role & impact:

This Account Executive role is about growing and managing Xero's relationships with valued Accounting and Bookkeeping firms in your territory. In this role you will build, educate, and grow our Xero Partner channel through effective territory management and sales pipeline development.

You’ll present at Xero sales events and keep your knowledge of Xero features sharp to ensure our Partners are getting the best possible support to reach their potential with digital strategies you've built with them - ultimately, you'll make small businesses more efficient using the Xero suite of tools.

This team & how they connect:

In this role you will report directly to our Partner Sales Manager as part of a collaborative four-person team focused on driving partner growth. This team works together closely to cover regional territories, share market insights, and deliver pivotal partner training. By aligning efforts with our adjacent Solutions Consulting team - this team ensures every accounting and bookkeeping firm receives seamless support.

Initially, the role will focus on:

• Taking ownership of a dedicated regional territory of 225 accounting and bookkeeping firms across Auckland.
• Identifying opportunities to develop business plans to produce larger and longer term deals within your book of business
• Increasing the percentage of certified partners through targeted education and re-certification attendance
• Driving attendance to Xero Sales events and presenting updates on features and functionality to drive continued engagement and product adoption

This team is in the Auckland office together, three days per week.
