Shield AI is seeking a bold and visionary Director of Business Development to lead strategic sales, customer engagement, and capture efforts for our X-BAT initiatives across Europe. This high-impact role combines defense sales credibility with deep technical understanding of air domain CONOPS to position Shield AI as the partner of choice for next-generation air combat solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in air force roles with CONOPS experience.
• 8-10+ years in defense acquisition or business development in Europe.
• Proven record of capturing defense programs with MoDs or primes.
• Familiar with FCAS/SCAF, Tempest, Eurodrone.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic capture of high-value European airpower programs.
• Own regional sales pipeline for X-BAT efforts from engagement to contract.
• Engage Ministries of Defence, defense primes, integrators, and NATO bodies.
• Shape requirements and CONOPS to align with Shield AI offerings.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, legal, and programs teams to align solutions.
