Job summary

MDE Stavanger is seeking a skilled Master Data Governance specialist to govern global Vendor Master data and ensure data quality, regulatory compliance and fraud protection. The role involves vendor record creation, validation, due diligence, and advising on data processes and policies.

You will work to improve data quality, support digital initiatives, and collaborate across functions to strengthen governance and control.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of master data governance and supplier onboarding.
  • Detail-oriented with strong risk awareness.
  • Experience with SAP; familiarity with SAP MDG-BP is a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence and improve cross-functional processes.
  • Contract duration: 04.10.2026–30.12.2027.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and govern client's global Vendor Master data to ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and protection against fraud while enabling efficient business operations.
  • Manage creation, validation, and maintenance of vendor master records.
  • Perform due diligence and verification of supplier information and bank details.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Act as a gatekeeper against fraud, duplicate suppliers, and incorrect master data.
  • Provide expert advice on master data processes, systems, and policies.
  • Drive master data quality improvements and support digital transformation initiatives.
