Job summary

Translat4 Embassy is seeking a Translator to support our diplomatic mission. The role focuses on translating reports, briefings, and official texts to ensure clarity and accuracy in policy execution and public diplomacy initiatives.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary linguistic link between the mission and the host country, handling translations of legal and political materials with attention to diplomatic nuance.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Norwegian, Arabic, and English.
• Willingness to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Norwegian citizenship or permanent residency in Norway.
• Minimum 3 years of translation experience.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Translator to join our embassy team. The successful candidate will provide translation to support the diplomatic mission. The work will directly impact the clarity, accuracy, and success of our policy execution, and public diplomacy strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Translation and administration.

• Translate reports, briefings, and assessments for the embassy.

• Convert legal texts, political reports, diplomatic notes, speeches, and media releases accurately between languages.

• Act as the primary linguistic link between our diplomatic mission and the host country.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Relevant university degree in Translation.

• Strong linguistic skills.

• Native-Level Language Proficiency, excellent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian, Arabic and English. Additional language skills are an advantage.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Norwegian citizenship or Permanent residency in Norway.

• Minimum 3 years of Experience in translation.
