Job summary

Alva Industries AS in Trondheim is seeking an Engineer to test and analyze electric motor products. You will join the Test & Validation team within the engineering department and work with design and test engineers to ensure reliable, high-performing motors for drones, gimbals and robotics.

The role involves hands-on testing, data logging, and developing test rigs plus updating test code in C#/.NET to automate cycles and data capture.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Strong theoretical understanding of electric machines.
• Able to use code (C#/C++/Python) to automate testing and data logging.
• Basic mechanical and electrical competency to set up test rigs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests to validate the design and behavior of our motors.
• Design, upgrade and commission test rigs based on test requirements.
• Update and expand test code (C# / .NET) to automate test cycles and manage data logging.
• Document the design and functionality of the test rigs.
• Train and assist personnel using our test rigs.
