Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team in Stavanger. You will develop test procedures, write automated test scripts and qualify software, algorithms, and embedded systems to ensure release quality.

You will collaborate with engineering on new product development and ongoing maintenance, building automated tests and driving quality improvements while reviewing colleagues' work and leading test efforts when required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in testing and test methods.
• Solid discipline competencies within testing and software.
• Engineering Degree or Technical College in electronics, software, sensors, mechatronics or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lead test efforts and direct work on test activities.
• Proficient in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Experienced contributor working with Engineering on new product development and maintenance to ensure software release quality.
• Develop procedures and methods to test and qualify functional product requirements and continuously improve testing methods.
• Develop test procedures and automated test scripts for units and systems; perform qualifications tests.
• Qualify and test software, algorithms and embedded systems.
• Lead test teams or efforts on an ad hoc basis as needed.
• Provide support and guidance to the engineering team and review colleagues' work.
