Job summary

Alva Industries AS in Trondheim seeks a hands-on technician for its prototyping team. You will assemble motor components, handle epoxies, and support data collection and testing to validate new electric motors under development.

The role requires following simple procedures, working with BOMs and engineering drawings, and collaborating closely with engineers to ensure quality in electro-mechanical assembly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow and write simple procedures and work instructions.
• Experience with engineering drawings and BOMs is an advantage.
• Experience with epoxies or adhesives is an advantage.
• Soldering experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in Norwegian or English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components of electric motors and handle epoxies/potting materials.
• Solder electrical components and wiring as needed.
• Collect and document test data to support validation activities.
• Support engineers with testing and validation of prototypes.
• Adhere to procedures and ensure high quality in production tasks.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role within Alva’s prototyping team, focused on validating new electric motors under development. You will be responsible for assembling motor components and supporting the engineering team with data collection and testing. The role requires an understanding of electro-mechanical systems and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Key Tasks

• Mixing and handling epoxies and potting materials
• Soldering electrical components and wiring
• Assembling components of electric motors
• Collecting and documenting test data using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Supporting engineers with testing and validation activities

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow and write simple procedures and work instructions
• Experience with engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) is an advantage
• Experience with epoxies or adhesives is an advantage
• Soldering experience is an advantage
• Fluency in Norwegian or English
