Job summary

Statkraft in Trondheim seeks a Technical Specialist to join Local Technical Support within Infrastructure Operations. You will provide Level 2 local IT support to offices and users.

In a 24/7 Operations Centre, you will resolve incidents, support projects, and contribute to ongoing improvements of workplace technology for 500+ employees.

You report to the Manager Infrastructure Support and must communicate in Norwegian and English, with willingness to travel to Trondheim sites.

Qualifications

• Service orientated and professional
• Experience operating Windows clients, servers, network components, printers and video conferencing systems
• Knowledge of IT process management framework, preferably ITIL
• Quick learner who likes to work independently
• Self-driven and energetic, able to perform under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English—written and spoken
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Statkraft locations in the Trondheim region and other sites
• Driving licence

Responsibilities

• Handle issues requiring local physical presence and be available for users needing IT support
• Handle and coordinate Events, Incidents, Service requests and Changes related to the local IT environment
• Provide desktop swap-out, Level 2 hardware and system software support across devices
• Provide technical support for special events such as annual meetings, board meetings, training sessions for internal/external end users
• Work as a Hand & Eye support for remote L2/L3 teams

Technical Specialist, Trondheim

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to join our Local Technical Support team in Trondheim, Norway.

Infrastructure Operations is part of Statkraft's global IT organization and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of IT services across the company. We manage critical IT infrastructure through a combination of strategic service providers and in-house expertise, while also delivering local IT support to employees worldwide.

To strengthen our support capabilities in the Trondheim region, we are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Technical Specialist to provide Level 2 local IT support to our offices and users. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative team within our 24/7 Operations Centre and Local Technical Support organization, supporting a modern and continuously evolving IT environment more than 500 employees.

As a Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring a reliable, secure, and positive IT experience for our users. You will work closely with colleagues across Infrastructure Operations, global IT teams, and external service providers to resolve incidents, support projects, and contribute to ongoing improvements of our workplace technology services.

This position reports to the Manager Infrastructure Support.

In your role you will:

• Handle issues requiring local physical presence and be available for the users requiring IT support and assistance.
• Handle and coordinate Events, Incidents, Service requests and Changes related to the local IT environment.
• Provide desktop swap‑out, Level 2 hardware and system software support to include but not limited to engineering workstations, laptops, desktops, smart phones/tablets and other devices as mutually agreed and defined.
• Provide technical support for special events such as annual meetings, board meetings, training sessions, for both internal/ external end users, etc.
• Work as a Hand & Eye support for remote L2/L3 teams

Qualifications
