Job summary

Head Energy is seeking a Technical Safety/Senior Engineer to perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems for offshore projects. You will handle passive and active fire protection, area classification, ignition source control, fire and gas detection, EER, and SIL studies under multidisciplinary coordination.

Candidates should hold a Master or Bachelor degree in technical safety or related fields, with 5–10 years of offshore design experience in Norway.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor degree in technical safety or related discipline; relevant work experience accepted in lieu.
• Ability to work independently on V&M projects while coordinating with stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems in projects
• Passive Fire Protection, PFP
• Active Fire Protection, AFP
• Area Classification and Ignition Source Control
• Fire and Gas Detection
• Escape, Evacuation and Rescue, EER
• Safety Integrity Level, SIL
• Definition of fluid groups, PED
• Working Environment Engineering
• Environmental Care Engineering
• Interdisciplinary coordination, checks, IDC, and verifications.
• Perform work tasks according to the company's and the clients governing documentation.
• Give concise input regarding cost and plan activities for safety aspects of the project.
• Identify and facilitate required risk and verification activities e.g. HAZID, WEHRA and design reviews.
• Follow-up of client, vendors and 3rd Parties.
• Support and follow-up of engineers.
• Work actively for a good professional and social environment in the group.
• Contribute actively to the process of continuous improvement and experience transfer.

Qualifications:

• Master/Bachelor degree in technical safety or other related disciplines. Relevant work experience can compensate for educational level.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience within offshore design and modification work in Norway.
  Experience should give capability of working independently on the V&M projects while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
• Knowledge of Ptil requirements, ISO- and NORSOK standards.
• Ability to show a high degree of self-learning skills.
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing and speaking skills.
• Good communication capabilities.
• Awareness of Ptil requirements, ISO- and NORSOK standards.
