Job summary

Odfjell Technology is seeking an experienced Engineer Technical Safety to reinforce our growing team in Bergen. You will contribute to safe design and operation of complex projects by performing technical safety studies, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Relevant qualifications include a Bachelor or Master in Technical Safety or equivalent, with experience in fire and gas safety, risk assessment methods, and barrier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Technical Safety or related field.
• Relevant experience in Technical Safety can compensate for education.

Responsibilities

• Fire and gas safety—active and passive fire protection, detection, area classification.
• Shutdown philosophy and barrier management in safety strategies.
• Facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability, Design Review.
• Conduct studies and project execution within Technical Safety.
• Support design reviews and specifications.
