Job summary

Odfjell Technology is seeking an experienced Engineer Technical Safety to reinforce our growing team in Bergen. You will contribute to safe design and operation of complex projects by performing technical safety studies, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Relevant qualifications include a Bachelor or Master in Technical Safety or equivalent, with experience in fire and gas safety, risk assessment methods, and barrier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Technical Safety or related field.
• Relevant experience in Technical Safety can compensate for education.

Responsibilities

• Fire and gas safety—active and passive fire protection, detection, area classification.
• Shutdown philosophy and barrier management in safety strategies.
• Facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability, Design Review.
• Conduct studies and project execution within Technical Safety.
• Support design reviews and specifications.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Safety Engineer to strengthen our growing team. The correct candidate will contribute to the safe design and operation of complex projects by performing technical safety studies, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree within Technical Safety or similar
• Relevant experience within Technical Safety can compensate for lack of higher education

Job Description/Work Tasks:

• Fire and gas safety(active and passive fire protection, detection, area classification etc.)
• Shutdown philosophy
• Barrier management inrelation to safety strategies and/or performance standards
• Facilitate riskassessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability analysis,Design Review analysis etc.
• Studies and projectexecution within Technical Safety
• Technical workenvironment

Experience/Knowledge:

• Good IT andsystem skills
• Active andpassive fire protection
• Areaclassification and Cause & Effect

• Preferablyexperience from Mobile Offshore Units, such as inspections, yard stay,e.g.
• Strongknowledge to rules & regulations
