Job summary

Telenor AI Factory in Norway is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to shape and operate our sovereign AI Cloud Platform. You will oversee cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and architecture across on-prem and cloud-native environments, ensuring security, sovereignty, and scalable delivery.

You will collaborate with partners and internal teams, define standards, and drive the technical roadmap while guiding a skilled DevSecOps group through complex projects.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in on-prem cloud infrastructure, ideally in AI/ML or GPU-based environments.
• Strong architecture and technical skills in Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud tools and services like IAM, KMS, GitLab, Argo, Ansible, encryption, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, operators).
• Experience with on-premise infrastructure including servers (CPU, GPU), networking, and storage.
• Experience with cloud native operating models, including DevSecOps, GitOps, CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of and experience with cloud security, including resource isolation and threat management.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and teams with secure, high-quality delivery.
• Strategic and architectural mindset with hands-on implementation ability.
• Familiarity with sovereign cloud principles and secure data residency.
• Familiarity with Norwegian security act.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

As we continue to scale our business, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded leader for our Cloud Infrastructure team. This is a hybrid role that combines a holistic technical and architecture expertise on cloud infrastructure with strategic leadership and DevSecOps team management. You will be key in shaping, developing and operating our sovereign AI Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the AI cloud architecture and design
• Lead the implementation and operation of our Cloud Infrastructure Platform
• Lead the AI cloud platform DevSecOps team
• Owning the AI cloud platform technology roadmap in close collaboration with the commercial unit
• Establish technical standards and own architectural decisions while remaining involved in delivery
• Ensure that all repetitive and resilient tasks are automated to increase operational efficiency and ensure on-demand self-service delivery
• Proactively address technical risks, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements, working closely with the DevSecOps engineers
• Own the technical customer onboarding process
• Lead technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
• Be the technical contact towards our technology partnersBe a strategic partner to the technology management supporting key technical decisions
• Collaborate with the tech and business development resources to algin the technical roadmap and embed security and sovereignty into platform development

Who are we looking for?

• Solid experience in on-prem cloud infrastructure, ideally in AI/ML or GPU-based environments
• Strong architecture and technical skills in Kubernetes and Openshift
• Experience with cloud tools and services in cloud infrastructure like IAM, KMS, GitLab, Argo, Ansible, encryption, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, operators)
• Experience with on-premise infrastructure including servers (CPU, GPU), networking (networking, VLANs, overlays, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, VPN) and storage (block, object, file, SAN, SDS)
• Experience with cloud native operating models, including DevSecOps, GitOps, CI/CD
• Solid understanding of and experience with cloud security (e.g. resource isolation, perimeter security, remote access, vulnerability management, data protection, availability, EDR, network monitoring, IDS/IPS, identities)
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and teams, ensuring secure and high-quality implementation and operation
• Strategic and architecture mindset with hands‑on ability to implement and lead
• Familiarity with sovereign cloud principles and secure data residency
• Familiarity with Norwegian security act
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
