Job summary

Telenor AI Factory in Norway is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to shape and operate our sovereign AI Cloud Platform. You will oversee cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and architecture across on-prem and cloud-native environments, ensuring security, sovereignty, and scalable delivery.

You will collaborate with partners and internal teams, define standards, and drive the technical roadmap while guiding a skilled DevSecOps group through complex projects.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in on-prem cloud infrastructure, ideally in AI/ML or GPU-based environments.
• Strong architecture and technical skills in Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud tools and services like IAM, KMS, GitLab, Argo, Ansible, encryption, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, operators).
• Experience with on-premise infrastructure including servers (CPU, GPU), networking, and storage.
• Experience with cloud native operating models, including DevSecOps, GitOps, CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of and experience with cloud security, including resource isolation and threat management.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and teams with secure, high-quality delivery.
• Strategic and architectural mindset with hands-on implementation ability.
• Familiarity with sovereign cloud principles and secure data residency.
• Familiarity with Norwegian security act.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI cloud architecture and design.
• Lead the implementation and operation of our Cloud Infrastructure Platform.
• Lead the AI cloud platform DevSecOps team.
• Own the AI cloud platform technology roadmap with the commercial unit.
• Establish technical standards and own architectural decisions; stay involved in delivery.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and self-service delivery.
• Address technical risks and ensure security/compliance with regulators.
• Own the technical customer onboarding process.
• Drive technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Be the technical contact to technology partners and strategic for key decisions.
• Collaborate to align the technical roadmap with business objectives and sovereignty goals.
