Job summary
PALFINGER MARINE NORWAY AS in Bergen seeks a Team Lead for the Control System department to guide a skilled group of control system and automation engineers across Norway and Poland.
You will manage people, drive technical solutions, and contribute hands‑on to offshore and marine equipment development, ensuring high‑quality software and documentation.

Qualifications
- MSc/BSc in Automation, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or similar.
- Leadership experience is advantageous for a team lead role.
- Experience with OT networks, cyber security and motion‑compensated systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the control systems team, ensuring clear delegation and performance improvement.
- Own and deliver robust control system solutions with cross‑functional teams (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, R&D, product owners).
- Define and optimize engineering workflows, tools, strategies, and ensure high‑quality software and documentation management.
- Design and develop complex control systems for offshore and marine equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics, OT networks and cybersecurity.
- Support full project lifecycle activities from concept to commissioning and service.
