Job summary

DNV in Oslo invites a Summer Student to join the Quality Task Force. You will shadow senior materials experts and gain hands-on experience in materials technology, corrosion, failure analysis, and risk management.

You'll contribute to investigations, interact with internal and external stakeholders, and learn how engineering decisions balance safety, operations, and reputation in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.

Quality Task Force

Our team consists of highly experienced specialists (including material) who support customers across a wide range of Maritime segments in solving complex engineering challenges. We investigate materials-related failures, create risk anssesments and provide expert advice on critical issues that can impact safety, operational performance, and business reputation. DNV is now looking for a Summer Student who is ready to start their professional journey with us.

What to expect as a Summer Student in the Quality Task Force:

• You will work alongside and shadow one of DNV's most experienced materials experts.
• You will gain exposure to real-life technical challenges involving materials, corrosion, failure mechanisms, risk management and communication with frustrated internal/external customers.
• You will participate in investigations and problem-solving activities where technical excellence must be balanced with customer communication and stakeholder management.
