DNV Maritime in Norway offers a summer internship within our Fleet Quality, PSC & Management Systems team, dedicated to enhancing safety, quality, and performance of our global fleet.

You will contribute to projects to strengthen PSC performance and ensure services run smoothly throughout the summer, collaborating with a skilled, international team in Høvik and beyond.

Qualifications

• Must be a Master’s student in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, Machinery, Mechanical Engineering, or Data Science/Analytics/Automation/Robotics.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Fast learner with strong data skills; curious, open-minded and collaborative.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Are you passionate about maritime quality and eager to make a real impact? DNV Maritime is offering an exciting summer internship within our Fleet Quality, PSC & Management Systems Section—a team dedicated to enhancing the safety, quality, and performance of our global fleet.

Technical Support in Ship Classification is a vital part of DNV Maritime, providing global governance and support for vessel operations. Our Norway-based team includes five technical units in Høvik and two helpdesk units in Houston and Singapore, working alongside sister units in Hamburg and Piraeus. Together, we deliver 24/7 service on DATE® and Remote Survey.

Your Role As a Summer Intern

As a summer intern, you’ll contribute to projects that strengthen the foundations of safe and high-quality fleet operations. You’ll support initiatives aimed at improving DNV’s Port State Control (PSC) performance and help ensure our services run smoothly throughout the summer.
