Job summary

DNV is inviting a summer student to join the Maritime Ship Classification Approval team in the Ship Structures & Stability area. You will engage in design review and approval activities, gaining hands-on experience across hull structures, lifting appliances, load lines and tonnage under professional mentorship.

The role targets 3rd/4th year Master students with relevant specializations, offering exposure to a global, values-driven culture and cross-location collaboration in Norway and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Support Ship Structures & Stability reviews and approvals.
  • Assist design review and approval of hull structures and stability.

About The Role

M-SA is the Approval Organization within Maritime Ship Classification and consists of more than 400 employees, located mainly in Norway (Høvik and Ålesund ), Germany (Hamburg) and Poland (Gdynia). The main services delivered by the Approval Centre are approval, verification, and certification services for ship systems and components.

Department Ship Structures & Stability (M-SA-S) is a part of M-SA and is organized in 5 sections responsible for design review and approval of ship hull structures, stability, lifting appliances, load line and tonnage.
