DNV invites motivated Master’s students to join the Maritime Ship Classification Approval team (M-SA-S) for a summer role. You work within Ship Structures & Stability across Norway (Høvik, Ålesund) and international offices, contributing to design review, approvals, and certifications under expert guidance.

You will develop technical competence, build cross-location networks, and gain hands-on experience in ship hull structures, stability, and lifting appliances in a global safety-focused

About The Role

M-SA is the Approval Organization within Maritime Ship Classification and consists of more than 400 employees, located mainly in Norway (Høvik and Ålesund ), Germany (Hamburg) and Poland (Gdynia). The main services delivered by the Approval Centre are approval, verification, and certification services for ship systems and components.

Department Ship Structures & Stability (M-SA-S) is a part of M-SA and is organized in 5 sections responsible for design review and approval of ship hull structures, stability, lifting appliances, load line and tonnage.
