Job summary

DNV is offering a summer student opportunity in its Maritime conformity assessment area, focusing on pressure equipment and regulatory compliance across maritime and offshore sectors. You will gain hands-on experience with PED and IMDG directives, participate in technical evaluations, and support certification efforts enabling safe, compliant global projects.

Qualifications

• 3rd and 4th year Master students are preferred.
• Strong interest in ship and offshore technology, safety and conformity assessment.
• Ability to review design documentation and support certification processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conformity assessment of pressure equipment under PED and IMDG rules.
• Perform technical evaluations and assist with design documentation reviews.
• Support the certification process for maritime, offshore, and industrial applications.
• Contribute to revenue-generating activities during the summer internship.

Our section specialises in the conformity assessment of pressure equipment, applying international directives such as PED and IMDG alongside DNV’s own rules and standards.

Our work involves technical review of design documentation, inspection follow-up, and issuing conformity assessments for equipment used in maritime, offshore, and industrial applications.

As a summer student, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with regulatory frameworks, participate in technical evaluations, and support the certification process that ensures safety and compliance across global projects.

You will actively generate revenue for DNV, executing deliverables to customers, with the potential of utilising your built experience beyond your summer student period.
