DNV is seeking a Summer Student for Maritime Technical Support in Oslo, joining the Register & Data Management team to learn how data quality and digital tools improve vessel operations and safety.

You will work with data analysts to investigate quality issues, structure expert knowledge, and turn findings into changes that deliver measurable value for the maritime industry.

Register and Data Management team, part of Technical Support – Ship Classification

Technical Support in Ship Classification provides global support and governance to all DNV regions in the daily operation and survey of vessels. Technical Support has offices in Høvik, Hamburg, Greece, Houston, and Singapore. Together, we cover all technical disciplines relevant to vessels in operation and their needs. With these units strategically located around the world, we are able to provide 24/7 support to our customers through Remote Surveys and the DATE® (Direct Access to Technical Experts) service.

The Register & Data Management team protects and improves critical vessel and classification data used across DNV’s maritime services. We are changing how we work, moving from correcting individual data issues towards preventing them. By combining maritime expertise, data analysis and digital tools, we identify recurring problems, capture expert knowledge and improve data quality at scale.

We are primarily seeking 3rd and 4th year students with relevant Bachelor/Master Program specialization in:
