Job summary

IKM Consultants AS in Stavanger or Oslo is seeking a versatile project support engineer to streamline documentation for oil and gas projects, prepare gate packages, and structure PIMS systems for cross-discipline teams.

You will coordinate interface management, risk topics, and technical queries while developing design basis and functional requirements. This 12‑month assignment starts October 2026 and requires proactive process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in both the early phase and execution phase of oil and gas projects.
• Educational background in one or more engineering disciplines.
• Strong multidiscipline understanding, preferably with subsea experience.
• A proactive and forward-leaning mindset with a drive for improving and streamlining work processes.

Responsibilities

• Simplify and standardize project documentation.
• Prepare decision gate packages and support management review activities.
• Set up, structure, and organize PIMS systems and routines for projects (e.g., Interface, Technical Queries modules).
• Handle and coordinate multidiscipline topics, including interface management, risk, and technical queries.
• Establish and maintain well-structured information management, planner boards, and action lists.
• Support the development of the design basis and functional requirements for projects.
