Job summary

MDE Norway is seeking a Contract Lead in Stavanger to drive the client’s procurement activities, establish and govern supplier agreements, and legally commit the client to suppliers per approval requirements.

You will lead bidding, negotiations, and evaluations, ensure SOX controls, manage risk-based follow-ups, and coordinate hand-overs to management, with emphasis on safety, sustainability, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years contracting experience.
• Strong written and spoken English and/or Norwegian.
• Commercial mindset with cost-awareness and integrity.
• Ability to work with suppliers to ensure safety and sustainability.
• Duration: 30.09.2026-30.12.2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement contracts and negotiations.
• Establish and manage supplier agreements and performance.
• Ensure SOX control and risk-based follow-up.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and manage change orders.
• Oversee contract handover and close-out activities.
