Job summary

Northern Lights JV is seeking a strategic CFO to lead finance, procurement, and HR as the venture evolves from a pioneer project into a growing commercial enterprise. You will report to the Managing Director and own financial strategy, governance, and treasury while coordinating with owner companies.

You will guide planning, reporting, and control, ensuring scalable processes and strong risk management across multiple owners and contracts, with English fluency required and Norwegian preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in oil and gas, energy infrastructure, or similar complex industries.
• University degree in finance, business administration, or an equivalent field.
• Extensive leadership experience is highly valued.
• Strong governance, multi-owner joint-venture familiarity, and complex contracts knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial dimensions of the JV, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, cash flow, tax compliance and revenue controlling.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and interface with owners (Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies), the Company Meeting and financial partners.
• Drive high-quality reporting, business planning packages and financial governance tailored to owners’ requirements.
• Ensure robust financial position as the company scales operations and capacity.
• Support commercial negotiations, complex maritime contracts and counterparty credit risk assessments.
• Ensure optimal financial control and compliance across SSA, EU CEF funding and JV owner structures.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team across Finance, Treasury, C&P and HR.
• Develop governance, internal controls and data-driven ERP systems.
• Be an ambassador for the culture and values of Northern Lights.
