Overview

The Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is seeking a Staff Officer (2030 Digitalisation – Process Flow Coordinator) to lead the transformation of JWC's exercises by incorporating advanced defence technologies. The role is part of the CIS Services Branch Data Science Team and focuses on delivering AI solutions, including large language models, reasoning models, and agentic systems, to support NATO operations.

Principal Duties

• Manage the governance of JWC automation.
• Establish and maintain a governance structure for JWC automated flows.
• Oversee the overall administration of JWC business workflows.
• Create and maintain best practices covering naming conventions, documentation, templates, and version control.
• Monitor and report on the performance of JWC workflows using flow analytics and alerts/notifications.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) and related documentation to capture the workflows.

Essential Qualifications

Education/Training

• University degree in information technology and management, management information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related discipline and at least 3 years of function‑related experience.
• Or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training that leads to a professional qualification or accreditation, plus at least 4 years of post‑related experience.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience optimizing and automating workflows and business processes.
• At least 12 months experience with Microsoft Power Automate.
• Certification in Microsoft Power Platform (PL‑900).

Language

• English – Upper Intermediate/Advanced proficiency.

Desirable Qualifications

• Master’s degree in information technology and management, management information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related discipline.
• A recognised project‑management qualification (e.g., APM, Prince, AgilePM).
• Experience at a national or international public‑sector headquarters.
• Certification in Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer (PL‑500) or equivalent.
• Certification in Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL‑200) or equivalent.

Work Environment

The work is normally performed in an office environment. The primary language is English. Travel on temporary duty may be required for conferences. Irregular working hours may be required, especially during exercises and events.

Contract

This project post is limited to a definite duration of 3 years. Successful applicants will be offered a 3‑year definite‑duration employment contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.

Salary

Starting basic salary is NOK 93,933.00 per month (tax‑free). Additional allowances may apply depending on the personal circumstances of the successful candidate.
