Qualifications

• Provide evaluation and therapy for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Ability to supervise aides and students and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' abilities and set treatment goals.
• Administer therapy per plan using appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on goals, methods, home programs, and injury prevention.
• Re-evaluate progress and advise discharge decisions.
• Consult and co-treat with therapists from other disciplines.
• Document patient care according to established criteria.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects.
• Supervise aides, assistants, attendants, and volunteers.
• May administer dye for swallow studies.
