Job summary

NTNU's Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine invites applications for a research position in bioinformatics, focusing on spatial and bulk transcriptomics in prostate cancer. You will join the Bioinformatics group under Ass.

Prof Morten Rye and collaborate with the Prostomics group in a Nordic multi-country consortium. The role emphasizes data integration, method development, and scientific publication in a dynamic, international academic setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics/biostatistics or related field required.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and/or R.
• Experience with Linux and HPC environments preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform data analyses to integrate spatial and bulk transcriptomics.
• Develop biomarkers for treatment response in prostate cancer within Nordic PCPM Forum.
• Contribute to scientific publications and collaborate with the Nordic consortium.
• Present results and interact with a multidisciplinary research environment.
