Job summary

The University of Oslo invites applications for a 100% 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in tumor cell biology. The role focuses on microprotein regulation of RUNX2 in cancer cells, in collaboration with Oslo University Hospital partners, using cell-based assays and in vivo models.

The successful candidate will develop a research profile aimed at future advancement to an Associate Professor position, with a career plan and ongoing career guidance provided by UiO.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required with strong evidence of research in cancer biology.
• Experience with tumor biology and cancer cell culture techniques.
• Desirable experience with patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute PDX prostate cancer studies evaluating microprotein modulation.
• Perform cellular assays to test microprotein function and transcription factor modulation.
• Maintain electronic lab records and contribute to data analysis.
• Present results and prepare manuscripts for publication.
