Job summary

Isar Aerospace on Andøya invites a Launch Pad Operations Engineer to join our Arctic team for test and launch campaigns of Spectrum. Collaborate closely with design engineers and technicians from our Germany HQ to ensure efficient operations and reliable access to space.

You will improve procedures, maintain launch infrastructure, and perform preparatory work for safe, high-quality campaigns in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification or degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience in development or testing of complex systems under extreme conditions.
• Experience in test data acquisition, reduction and evaluation (Python or Matlab preferred).
• Understanding of the design process from concept to commissioning of fluid/mechanical systems.
• Experience with multidisciplinary troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform in high-stress environments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Launch campaigns: prep, pad readiness, and ground/vehicle system operation from the launch operations center.
• Stage testing: prepare and conduct stage test campaigns for Spectrum.
• Process improvement: develop and refine procedures for safe, smooth operations.
• Maintain high quality standards while handling flight hardware and interfacing with launch vehicle systems.
