Job summary

Isar Aerospace on the Arctic island of Andøya in Norway seeks a Launch Operations Technician to perform test and launch campaigns for the Spectrum vehicle and maintain ground infrastructure. You will work with the local operations team and support teams from our German headquarters to ensure smooth, safe campaigns.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in a mechanical or technical position.
• Excellent teamwork.
• Knowledge of gas/fluid bolting techniques.
• Spatial awareness and good technical understanding.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment.
• Foundational knowledge of computers and software applications.
• Well organized mode of working.
• Physical dexterity required for confined spaces (lift 25kg).
• Driver’s license class B (3.5t).
• Fluent in English (Norwegian and/or German helpful).

Responsibilities

• Keep the ground infrastructure and machinery (Pad, AIT, workshops, etc.) operational and compliant with regulatory requirements by developing and executing maintenance plans.
• Implement changes to and continuously improve infrastructure and processes for safe and efficient operations.
• Support test and launch campaigns of Spectrum vehicle from preparing the pad for operation, hands-on troubleshooting, to operating parts of the ground systems.
• Manufacture custom mechanical parts or assemblies for facilities usage.
• Take care of workshops and equipment.
• Join the industrial safety/first responder team.
