Job summary

Isar Aerospace is seeking a Launch Pad Operations Engineer to join the team on the arctic island of Andøya, Norway, to conduct test and launch campaigns of the Spectrum vehicle. You will work with a local crew and engineers from headquarters in Germany to ensure successful launches and safe operations.

You will develop procedures for efficient operations, maintain high safety standards, and support the mission to provide reliable access to space from mainland Europe.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or bachelor’s/master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience in development, testing, or complex systems handling extreme conditions.
• Experience in test data acquisition, reduction and evaluation (Python or Matlab).
• Understanding of fluid and mechanical system design from concept to commissioning.
• Experience with multidisciplinary troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Launch campaigns from preparatory work to pad readiness and ground/vehicle system operations.
• Stage testing campaigns in preparation for launch.
• Develop and improve procedures for smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
• Maintain high quality standards while handling flight hardware and interfacing systems.
