Crunched is building autonomous AI-enabled analysts for Excel-powered strategy and corporate finance. Join a small founding-like team to own architecture, code, infra and data flows in a high-tempo environment.

You will work with Python, TypeScript, React, and Postgres, building agent-based, durable systems and shipping features rapidly while collaborating with customers. Roles are on-site in Oslo or New York.

We are disrupting the consulting industry with hirable AI analysts for strategy and corporate finance work, starting with Excel - where half the work happens.

Already used by professionals at BCG, Nordover Capital, Insead, Harvard, Explore, Arkwright, Connaught, and Placepoint.

Technical Team

Our technical team builds the core systems, infrastructure, and data pipelines that power our autonomous, agentic AI system for strategy and corporate finance workflows. We transform human analyst and consultant workflows into secure, scalable, and intuitive AI tools that operate directly inside Excel, enabling clients to move faster and smarter.

The ideal candidate has strong fundamentals, a bias to ship, and an eye for detail. You care about real user problems, own outcomes end-to-end, and collaborate tightly with the Growth team to turn feedback into product.

We’re backed by Y Combinator and have raised 55M NOK in seed funding. After months in San Francisco, we’re now building our core engineering team out of Oslo and New York – and we’re hiring the senior engineers who will shape the core of our product, stack and team.

What you’ll do

• Build and ship production-ready autonomous workflows used by analysts, investors and operators

Who you are

You’re a top-tier generalist engineer with a strong track record of building real products fast. You thrive in intense environments, take responsibility naturally, and want to be part of a small founding-like team.

You’re likely:

• Deeply comfortable with Python, TypeScript, React and Postgres
• Have built LLM-powered applications, ideally agent systems
• Strong at system design and durable execution
• Obsessed with shipping and feedback loops
• Motivated by ownership, risk, and outsized upside
• Ready for a high-intensity build phase, and motivated by high tempo, autonomy and real ownership

If you don’t have agent experience but are a very strong fullstack engineer with experience from major product companies, we still want to talk to you.

This role is 5 days per week on-site, based either in Oslo (Parkkvartalet, Parkveien 53B, 0256 Oslo – 2 min from Nationaltheatret station) or in New York.
