Job summary

cobaltrecruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a major hotel fit-out project in London. The role is site-based on a substantial three-year programme, reporting to the Project Manager and coordinating with the wider construction team.

You will manage day-to-day operations, subcontractors, and quality control while ensuring programme milestones are achieved on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering hotel, hospitality or high-end fit-out projects.
• Experience on large-scale, multi-room hotel schemes is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out and finishing trades.
• Excellent subcontractor and trade management skills.
• Eye for detail and quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing.
• Strong health & safety knowledge.
• Ability to drive progress and maintain high standards on site.
• Valid SMSTS - essential.
• Valid First Aid - essential.
• Ability to work site based in London.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate works with the project team.

• Carry out regular site inspections and resolve issues promptly.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major 290-bed hotel fit-out scheme in London. This is a site-based role on a substantial three-year project.

This position would suit a strong, hands-on Site Manager with a proven background in delivering high-quality hotel, hospitality or complex interior fit-out projects.

The Role

You will be based on site in London, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the 290-bedroom hotel fit-out, working alongside the Project Manager and wider construction team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works progress in line with the programme
• Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades
• Managing sequencing and interfaces between trades
• Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project
• Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Managing short-term programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Identifying and resolving site issues to maintain progress
• Ensuring health & safety standards and site procedures are maintained at all times
• Managing site logistics, deliveries and access
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, consultants and wider project team
• Managing snagging, quality inspections and handover activities
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on progress
